Salvadoran immigrants eligible for TPS
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on Tuesday outlined details on how Salvadorans can re-apply for Temporary Protected Status.
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/america ... 11075.html
Earlier this year, the immigration service agreed to continue TPS for an estimated 234,000 Salvadorans in the United States. Under TPS, certain undocumented immigrants from a country in crisis are eligible for temporary protection from deportation. They have to be specifically designated for the protection by the U.S. government. Under the extension, Salvadorans who had previously registered for TPS can reapply for 18 more months, until March 9, 2009. The reregistration period began Tuesday and ends Oct. 22.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
