Bridgeton Blotter - intoxicated illegal immigrant hits house

* Jaime Rojas, 22, of Walnut Street, was arrested Thursday and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Pamphylia and Colfax Avenues for a report of a car crashing into a house.

When they arrived, they found the car heavily damaged and the driver, identified as Rojas, with a facial injury.

Damage to the house was estimated at $5,000.

Rojas was taken to the hospital for treatment and later found to be intoxicated. He was also in the country illegally.

He was committed to the Cumberland County Jail on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
