McCain Says Immigration Reform Should Be Top Priority
McCain Says Immigration Reform Should Be Top Priority
By Michael Luo
SAN JOSE—In yet another sign of his pivoting toward the general election, Senator John McCain said at a roundtable with business leaders here today that comprehensive immigration reform should be a top priority for the next president.
Mr. McCain’s willingness to address the issue was striking given how the topic became something of a third-rail for Republican presidential candidates during the primary.
When Mr. McCain’s presidential bid stalled last summer, many blamed his advocacy for the immigration reform bill in the Senate, which included a pathway to citizenship for the illegal immigrants already here in the country.
The measure failed last spring after a firestorm of grassroots opposition. The issue became an important touchstone in the Republican primary, as the candidates scrambled to one-up each other in their tough talk on immigration as they sought to appeal to primary voters.
Mr. McCain largely stopped talking about the issue and repeatedly invoked a mantra that he had gotten the message from voters that the borders needed to be secured first, before any solution for the illegal immigrants already here is addressed.
Since he became the presumptive Republican nominee, Mr. McCain has given major speeches on a broad range of issues but has not given one on immigration.
He found a friendly audience, however, here today at a business roundtable held at a Silicon Valley technology firm that included Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, Meg Whitman, the former chief executive officer of eBay who was a leading supporter of Mitt Romney’s but has since begun raising money for Mr. McCain, and a host of executives from Silicon Valley firms.
After several of the business leaders complained about the difficulty in obtaining temporary H1B visas for scientists and engineers, something the Senate immigration bill was supposed to address, Mr. McCain expressed regret the measure did not pass, calling it a personal “failure,â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

We need to continue to push the language "Immigration Enforcement", not "immigration reform". We have blocked these fools coming and going every time they try to pull one over on us and we will continue to do the same no matter who is in office!!
...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

[quote]But we must enact comprehensive immigration reform. We must make it a top agenda item if we don’t do it before, and we probably won’t, a little straight talk, as of January 2009.â€

I am tired of it==
McCain is teasonous and traitorous. I am sure most of you here already are aware of the danger, but here goes:
First, there are a hell of a lot more than 12 million illegals here. The total has been estimated as high as 38 million by respectable sites.
Second, we now have a lot of Amendment 14 babies in elected positions in America. (The amendment has been misunterpreted and abused and it must STOP!)
Third, any honest person who follows political happenings knows that the majority of these supposed citizens is to their hispanic or Latino ethnicity, their "raza", not to the USA. (See Luis Gutierrez)
Fourth, they are the largest minority in America today---the radical changes that will occur over the next 10 years as the fraudulent votes in addition to the legal votes of these non-USA citizens will change our Congress, will result in the USA becoming another third world country.
It is expected that they will represent up to a third of our population. The biggest voting bloc that ever existed.
I am at the stage where I believe I cannot remain friends with lifelong acquaintances who are pro-immigration. Must America suffer because of their ignorance??? Why is it they cannot see the very terrible danger???
It is time for us , the citizens, to exercise the rights in the Declaration of Independence. We MUST replace the government that is not only complacent on some immigration issues but strongly supports most of them. The minority of true Americans in Congress can be very quickly re-elected.
It is time to exercise our rights.

Won't matter as McCain won't win, he's gone too far to the left and conservative voters are PO'd. He's no different than Obama or Clinton. I'm writing in Ron Paul. If millions of us do this, what a kick to both parties.
