LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- It was on Wednesday that New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson decided to tighten up security along the state’s border in response to the death of Arizona rancher Robert Krentz. Richardson went as far as calling for the New Mexico National Guard.

It didn't long for Mexican officials to respond saying they respect the governor's decision but would like more cooperation from the U.S., especially in stepping up efforts to stop the smuggling of drugs and guns into Mexico.

“Perhaps the governor's statement was not balanced with a little bit of diplomatic sympathy and understanding for the Mexican point of view,â€

I would be delighted to see the US cooperate in stopping the traffic going into Mexico AND the Traffic coming into the US. We need to stop pampering Mexico, giving them aid and such and get Tough against the Invasion from Mexico. Put armed National Guard on the Border to stop the invasion of People, Drugs and the Violence pouring into our country every day. At the same time it would stop traffic of guns and money going into Mexico.

To hell with what Mexico wants...Time for our Government to protect our country and its people.

Didn't Posse Comitatus just recently get suspended or abridged?

I know there was something in the news about it, as a bunch of folks were up in arms over it, but like everything, it died down and got forgotten about.

    Is Mexico serious?

First, their gun problem was the fault of the US. Allllll the guns in Mexico are being brought in from the States

And now the drugs are heading SOUTH for God's sake?

Excuse me for not being as smart as the Mexican government but are they implying that the Mexican drug cartels moving their product north is a fallacy and the problem is actually some huge United States drug cartel moving their product south and thus causing all of Mexico's problems? They have GOT to be joking..........
