Napolitano to 'criminal aliens': We will deport you

While she was governor of AZ, she said it was the federal governments job, not the job of the states. Well, now she is employed by the federal gov't, as Secretary of Homeland Security, so I assume she is now ready to stop all the talking and just get the job done already. In this economy, all illegals should be deported, because they are all criminals for crossing illegally, and if working, using a phony or stolen ssn. Deport them all now Nappy! The job is all yours!

Napolitano to 'criminal aliens': We will deport you

WASHINGTON — If you're a criminal and you're not entitled to be in the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano wants you out of the country.

Napolitano, Arizona's former governor, wants what she calls "criminal aliens" off American streets. She is looking at existing immigration enforcement programs to see if taxpayers are getting the most bang for their buck.

"That sounds very simple, but it's historically not been done," Napolitano said, speaking to reporters and senior Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials Thursday.

About 113,000 criminals who were in the U.S. illegally were deported last year, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. The agency estimates there are now as many as 450,000 criminals in federal, state and local detention centers who are in the country illegally.

Napolitano said she wants to improve data-sharing among local, state and federal facilities. So far, there are jails in 26 U.S. counties with computer systems that can talk instantly with immigration systems.

The goal, Napolitano said, is for federal immigration officials to know whether an inmate is in the country illegally immediately after he or she is processed into a detention facility. After the criminal serves his or her sentence, immigration officials can be ready to deport that person right away.

ICE spokesman Richard Rocha said the agency plans to expand this connectivity to all state and local detention centers over the next four years.

Oh, they claim innocence. They claim to be very sweet and unaware that their man is in a gang, or selling drugs, or transporting other illegals into AZ, or stealing cars, robbing stores, etc. She will be very happy living in a big, expensive house, and driving a big, expensive SUV (with the very expensive sound system of course, to impress friends and family back "home") and claim she is needed in the US to take care of the mulitiple anchors she dropped, and will be allowed to stay. She will claim she thought he was working on a farm, in a restaurant, doing construction, you know - the jobs Americans don't want, and thought that's how he got all that money. Don't you know - most restaurant workers can afford brand new SUVs every year, and 5 bedroom houses in the foothills.

I'd like to see Napolitano deport them all, criminal or not (in her mind), but have a hard time believing she will. She seems to think those that come here to work (we don't need the jobs?) are good "citizens" that we need.

Well, they are criminals just being here. Wonder what the difference is between "real criminals" and the other "real criminals"? How bad do you have to be to get tossed back?

Fix the 14th Amendment on Anchor Babies; if one parent is not American you can not become an immediate US Citizen if born on American Soil. If born overseas of an American, the child is Naturalized. So why are these undocumented parents and children of these people given an advantage over true American children born outside the country on a military base.

You know Napolitano is only talking about people that have been caught and convicted of a felony or worse. Chertoff has already been cleaning those guys out, with Opperation Return to Sender which started in 2006. I'm sorry, but just deporting the "criminal aliens" is not enough. Also, if you don't get their wives, their mamas and cousins cleaned out too, they just come back to live with those that harbor and aid them.
