Napolitano denies knowledge of Fast and Furious gun-tracking
Napolitano denies knowledge of Fast and Furious gun-tracking program
By Jordy Yager - 09/13/11 08:17 PM ET
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told senators Tuesday that she had no knowledge of a botched federal gun-tracking program while it was in operation.
In testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Napolitano said she was first made aware of the Fast and Furious program after U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in the line of duty in Arizona in December 2010.
Weapons lost track of by Fast and Furious agents were found at the scene of Terry’s death.

Well, we have further proof that THE HILL is highly biased.
Please notice that this is not an article. It is sheer propoganda and only contains sources favorible to the Open Borders Lobby aka McCain and Napolitano.
The Hill mentions the AFT involvement but purposely excludes the well documented involvement of the Department of Justice, White House staffers, CIA, and FBI as well.
Since the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY WAS CREATED FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF ASSURING THAT INFORMATION ABOUT TERRORISTS WITH WEAPONS LIKE THESE CARTEL AND RADICAL ISLAMISTS WERE SHARED AMONG AGENCIES, how could Napolitano not know?
How could it be that the leader placed in charge of making sure that all of these different agencies share important information with each other regarding the national security of the United States could not know about Fast and Furious being coordinated between ATF, DOJ, CIA, FBI, and the freaking White House?
How could Homeland Security, which now has the most invasive citizen surveillance technologies ever to exist at their disposal not know?
I think it is becoming clearer every day that Napolitano and Obama are lying to try and save their political hides and avoid jail time over this.
I'm calling BS on Napolitano's claim and isnt there a special kind of prosecution for people that lie to Congressional inquiries?

(CNSNews.com) – FBI Director Robert Mueller believes the FBI did not play a role in the botched gun-walking sting operation along the Mexican border known as Operation Fast and Furious, he said at a Senate hearing on Tuesday. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, at the same hearing, also denied knowing about the matter until after the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in December 2010.
Operation Fast and Furious was run by the Phoenix office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). It began in late 2009, allowing straw purchasers to illegally buy guns with the intent of tracking them to Mexican drug cartels. But the operation was halted in December 2010 after two weapons from the program were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) asked about the matter during a hearing by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
Mueller said the FBI is investigating the Terry murder but affirmed that the case is being looked at in detail by the Justice Department’s inspector general.
