Napolitano Ducks on Immigrant Legalization
Sen. Jeff Sessions: right on the job!
Napolitano Ducks on Immigrant Legalization
By Daphne Eviatar 5/6/09 12:23 PM
At the Senate Judiciary Committee’s oversight hearing this morning, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano carefully skirted repeated questions about her views of whether longtime undocumented immigrants living in the United States ought to get a chance at legalization.
Although Napolitano did say she supports the DREAM Act — which would provide some children of undocumented immigrants raised in the United States a path to legalization if they complete two years of college or military service — Napolitano carefully avoided questions about whether a comprehensive immigration reform bill should include broader opportunities for legalization of the 11 million or so undocumented immigrants living in the United States. Her refusal to offer an opinion on that highlights just how controversial and politically dicey that issue will be as a new proposal for comprehensive immigration reform gets hammered out over the next few months.
Napolitano’s refusal to sanction legalization seemed to please Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala), the new ranking Republican on the committee, who pressed the issue by saying that while “we need to fix our immigration system,â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I don't know about any of you other folks, but the illegal aliens are NOT living in the shadows in beautiful Mesquite. They are arrogant and they and their children mess up the retail outlets more than anyone I have ever seen. I wonder how much it costs to keep enough staff to clean up the mess these animals make? It has been that way wherever I have lived in Texas. There used to be a chain of discount stores called Gibson's and they were the cheapest places to shop and they were the filthiest places to go thanks to the illegals. They sold popcorn and it would be all over the store along with all the sticky floors where soft drinks had been spilled and left to dry and the merchandise would be turned upside down! Looked like a tornado had hit!

avenger: You're so right about the stores. My sister-in-law works at a department store in TN. Every Friday night they clear the toy department in preparation for the hordes of illegal kiddies that tear the place apart on Saturdays. They don't buy the toys, they only tear the packages open and play with them so they can't be sold. The parents drop the kids off and leave them for a couple of hours to entertain themselves. So, the clerks end up being babysitters as well.

These people are not living in the shadows. They are all fully employed at car washes and cable television services.

Once again there is no mention of attrition through enforcement.

Napolitano wouldn’t comment because see spent the better part of the last two weeks with here foot buried in her mouth trying to classify who was a domestic terrorist.
I’m pretty sure she supports amnesty but she’s tired of the taste shoe leather.Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!
