Napolitano: Immigration reform top Obama priority
Napolitano: Immigration reform top Obama priority
Posted on December 11, 2009 at 5:28 PM
PHOENIX (AP) — Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says overhauling the nation's immigration laws is still a top priority for President Barack Obama.
The former Arizona governor says Congress is poised to act despite some lawmakers' concerns that a push could complicate Democratic re-election prospects.
Napolitano said key Senate Democrats plan on moving ahead early next year.
She says the chairman of the Senate's immigration subcommittee, Democratic New York Sen. Charles Schumer D-N.Y., is working on the bill.
Napolitano told a meeting of The Arizona Republic's editorial board on Thursday that the president "wants to get it done."

The Obama Admin. does not want IA's to go home or they would not continue to promise Amnesty.

They seemed to really be sending the message to IA's not to give up,don't leave.
Especially when this is the time of the year I think alot of IA's would go home for Christmas with no thought of returning if the Obama bunch would stop inticing them to stay.
