The 15-year-old Santa Rosa girl who told police that she had been forced into an SUV, driven to Comstock Middle School and raped did not know her attackers and was likely a random target, Santa Rosa Police said Friday.

The girl’s four suspected assailants, three adult men and one 13-year-old boy, are all expected in court Monday.

The 13-year-old will appear in juvenile court, where his case will remain unless the judge rules him fit to stand trial as an adult, said Spencer Brady, a spokesman for the District Attorney’s office.

The girl told police last Friday that she was forced by two males into the SUV on Coffee Lane about 8 p.m. on April 6. Two other males were in the car.

They drove her about a half mile to a parking lot at Comstock Middle School near the softball diamonds, took her from the car, and raped her, said Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Lisa Banayat. She said there is no evidence that the crime was gang related

Investigators are still seeking any witnesses who may have seen the suspects or victim at the Comstock parking lot or the parking lot of Safeway market on Fourth Street on April 6.

Comstock Middle School Principal Bob Dahlstet called the attack “horrible, horrific.â€
