Immigrant Rights Demonstrators Clash At Protest
Pro- And Anti-Immigrant Rights Groups Meet At Consulate
(CBS) CHICAGO Two groups of protesters – both for and against immigrant rights – stepped out against each other Saturday on the Near West Side.

Members of various immigrant rights groups turned out at the Mexican consulate to protests another protest by two anti-immigration groups: the Chicago Minutemen and the Paul Revere Riders.

"We want to send the message to the foreign nationals that they have no business trying to influence our politicians in matters that pertain to the United States and United States sovereignty," said Rick Biesada with the Chicago Minutemen Project.

"I think their message, though they don't want to say it out loud, is that we don't want brown people here. And that's a problem," said immigrant rights activist Samantha Jordan.

Both the Minutemen and Paul Revere Riders are now moving their protests cross-country

As usual they use the race card when they have no real argument.

I added the link for the article. There is a video of the protest on the news site. One thing the article fails to mention but I noticed in the video is the group counter protesting appear to be anarchists. I got a glimpse of what looks like a black and red anarchist flag. Like usual most news reporters never tell you who these groups are that support illegal immigrants.

Is pulling the "race card" out the best the pro amnesty followers and illegal immigrants can do?

I know all of us have heard this time and time again.

I would really like someone to explain to me why it is "racist" that we want our laws enforced.

Because they have no real argument and know we are right in trying to defend our country from an illegal invasion.

Unfortunatly it was a black woman who made the statement. So many are educated to the truth of this: but so many aren't. Jessee Jacksons son is some political figure here which doesn't help.

I must say the press has started to give us better coverage. The lady worried about "brown people" didn't have anything to say about the law or politics. Just playing the race card because she has no other justification for her cause.

Brian, good eye! It was hard to see their signs and some of them were hiding behind them and wearing bandana's over their faces. Good to see that they quit using Old Glory and pretending to be patriotic.

I wonder if they do that so all the cameras around the city can't do facial scanning?
