NBC spotlights illegal immigration in state
The Denver Business Journal - 3:07 PM MST Tuesday

NBC News said Tuesday it will air an hour-long documentary about illegal immigration in the Roaring Fork Valley of Colorado.

The network said it spent eight months "reporting on the myths and truths about illegal immigration in this pristine stretch between Aspen and Vail," which has seen an influx of Hispanics, mostly from Mexico.

"Tom Brokaw Reports: In the Shadow of the American Dream" is scheduled to air Dec. 26.
NBC said illegal immigrants are being drawn to the area because of construction jobs.

U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is featured in the documentary. Tancredo has been a vocal opponent of illegal immigration.

It will be interesting to watch to see the similarities and differences between my city and others. South Florida also has a lot of construction going on and we all kinds of Hispanic illegals here. Many construction sites have none English speakers. They also have a lot of construction accidents and some are fatal. ICE has picked up numerous illegals at construction sites.

Get ready for the typical canned NBC spin on why the poor immigrants are being treated unfairly.

Mainstream media always casts enforcers in a bad light or, in fact, doesn't even mention them in most coverage except to single out one or two politicians. How many NBC stories have you seen about the Border Patrol, National Guard, or ICE? NONE. How many stories have you seen about the taxpayers costs or murders or drunk driving by illegal immigrants or ANY of the subjects of the stories presented on this forum? NONE.

NBC still has uninformed gullible American viewers in its pocket along with its corporate sponsors.

The truth speaks for itself. All they have to do is videotape where the illegals are staying, the decrease in quality of the area and report real statistics on crime. It's always the same no matter where they go.

Once in a while you do see some good reporting on it. One person on this website had a link to a story in California. It was regarding a migrant camp and how it was near expensive homes. The reporter followed the migrants to work and actually spoke to employers. Many of them worked on farms and she found out who these farms sold the produce to and contacted those stores. This was good old fashioned reporting which we should be seeing more of.
