NBPC Pres. Bonner Wants Johnny Sutton Investigated

Bonner Wants Investigation Into Attorney Who Convicted Border Patrol Agents

EL PASO, Texas -- With former Border Patrol agents Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos now back in El Paso, a representative of the agency they once worked for say they should now go after the man who convicted them.

T.J. Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council believes an investigation should be launched into how U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton convicted the men and whether he should have given immunity to Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, who was shot by one of the agents, then testified against both.

"How can the word of a career drug smuggler be taken over the word of two federal agents?" Bonner asked. "Because there were only three people who were eyewitnesses to that event. And the government, for some bizarre reason, has decided that they were going to place credibility in a career drug smuggler who, when they paroled him into the country, continued to smuggle millions of dollars' worth of drugs into the country, making a mockery of us."

Bonner said that although going after Sutton would be the honorable thing to do, he does not see any movement in Washington, D.C., to indicate that anyone is pursuing that.

Tell us what you think about Bonner's reaction, just comment below this story.

I hope they do it, and follow the money trail even beyond Johnny Sutton right to his buddy Jorge Bush
