NC - Colo. child-sex fugitive caught in Wake County
Raleigh, N.C. — A fugitive was brought to the Wake County Jail six years to the day after Colorado authorities issued warrants against him for child-sex charges.
Santiago Renya Pastrana was brought into the Wake County Jail at 11 a.m. Thursday. He was being held under a $100,000 bond Saturday.
Authorities in Castlerock in Colorado's Douglas County issued warrants against Pastrana for sex assault of a child, violent-crime sexual offense and three counts of assault on a peace officer. Those warrants were issued on Nov. 19, 2002.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also issued a detainer against Pastrana.
His first court appearance was set for Monday afternoon.
