DAVDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) - Deputies in Davidson County seized $5,000 worth of stolen clothes during a traffic stop on I-85 Wednesday afternoon.

The sheriff's office said a deputy recovered the clothing after stopping a vehicle near milemarker 91 around 10:30 p.m for a burned-out tag light. During a search of the vehicle, deputies discovered the stolen clothing.

According to the sheriff's office, the clothing had the sensor tags still attached. Deputies also seized a lead-lined bag, a bag the suspect could have used to steal the clothing.

Cristian Briceno Gustavo, 22, of Durham, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, giving false information to an officer and possession of stolen property. He was placed in the Davidson County Jail under $125,000 bond.
