Man gets five years for identity theft

ID theft sentence: EL PASO -- A man was sentenced to the maximum five years in prison for identity theft by U.S. District Court Judge Frank Montalvo, the U.S. attorney's office said Wednesday.
Ruben Gastelum-Rascon, 38, was arrested by Customs and Border Protection officials on Nov. 27, 2007, as he tried to enter the U.S. using a false identification.

Gastelum-Rascon had used the identification to get a Texas ID card, Social Security card and more than $150,000 in credit.
