Netherlands: As van Gogh’s killer screams ‘Allahu akbar,’ accused jihadi goes on destructive rampage in prison

Prisons in the Netherlands and all over the West are hotbeds of jihad recruitment, and authorities do nothing to stop this, for fear of charges of “Islamophobia.” In a sane society, prison authorities would make efforts to shake the hold of the jihad ideology over people who were in prison for jihad activity. But instead, just the opposite is done: Muslim prisoners are given Qur’ans and allowed to pray together, only reinforcing the beliefs that landed them in prison in the first place. In such an environment, this sort of thing is bound to happen.
“Terror suspect goes on rampage in Vught prison,” translated from “Terreurverdachte sloeg boel kort en klein in gevangenis Vught,” Hart Van Nederland, October 14, 2020 (thanks to RB):
One of the men who is suspected of preparing to commit a terrorist attack in the Netherlands broke everything in the prison in Vught last year. He was encouraged in this by Mohammed B., Theo van Gogh’s murderer.
Mouad M. went crazy because he could not call his lawyer. Among other things, he threw chairs and tables, toppled the treadmill in the gym and attempted to destroy a lock. The damage amounted to just under 30,000 euros. M. said he acted out of frustration because the staff “got the blood from under his nails”.
Mohammed B., who is also in prison there, shouted Allahu Akbar, among others, during M’s outburst of anger. The man born in Morocco has since been transferred to another prison.
On Wednesday, M. will be tried in court in Rotterdam for, among other things, preparatory acts for a terrorist attack. In June 2018, he was arrested along with Ahmed B. after intercepting information suggesting preparations for an attack, involving weapons and explosives. In chats, photos of a police station in Rotterdam were shared as a potential target and B. was said to be in contact with “a sister” who wanted to wear a bomb belt.
