Network News Laments Court Decision, Portrays Illegals As Victims

    18 Feb 2015

A Texas judge “dashe[d] American dreams” of illegal immigrants, network news anchor Lester Holt lamented after a federal court in Texas blocked President Obama’s executive amnesty.

Monday evening, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen temporarily blocked Obama’s executive actions on immigration, ruling in favor of 26 states that are challenging the administration’s actions.

Democrats and amnesty activists rallied against the decision but said they were undeterred. Republicans praised it. And, according to a Newsbusters’ report, network news anchors covered the story as a sad day for illegal immigrants.

“[T]omorrow was supposed to be a historic day for millions of illegal immigrants. They would be able to begin to apply for legal status under immigration reform that President Obama implemented by executive action over the objections of Congress, but a federal judge’s ruling has now put all of that on hold,” CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley said.

The NBC Nightly News spotlighted the cause of those who will not be able to get executive amnesty as scheduled.

“The showdown over immigration takes a dramatic turn. A last-minute ruling dashes American dreams for millions of families under the threat of deportation,” Lester Holt said.

NBC News Senior White House correspondent Chris Jansing focused on the plight of an illegal immigrant who wants to work for the FBI and another studying for a Phd program.

On ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir, the newscast, Newsbusters reports, did not offer an opposing view.

“A Texas judge blocking the President’s executive order that would have offered protection and work permits for up to 5 million undocumented immigrants here in the U.S. Well, late today, the President shooting back,” Muir said.

According to Newsbusters, while the three network newscasts gave the story 5 minutes and 58 seconds of coverage, just 18 seconds of that dealt with those who oppose the executive amnesty, not including quotes from the judge’s decision.

Wake Up Networks. No one is going to watch your news coverage if this is what we have to watch and listen to. Please stop supporting lawlessness, poverty, bankruptcy, and jobs being stolen from Americans by foreign persons. Please stop your madness that only contributes and eggs on the insanity of our government. You need to be cahoots with the American People, not a rogue government and those paid by the cartels to promote, accommodate and reward illegal aliens. Get right with the law, get square with your viewers, and stop your role in this disaster. Become entities that help the American People stop this travesty against our nation and citizens.

Any American who depends solely on network news is not an informed voter. Does make one wonder who in America is network news pandering to.

Global socialists own the major networks and they side with the invaders against innocent American defenders.
