OK now I understand this. Yale is the home of Skull and Bones and also the Globalization Institue headed by former Mexican President Ernesto Cedillo. What they are doing is also patently Unconstitutional, only Congress can decide who is an immigrant and who is not. The problem is to fight this in court you would have to go up against the Yale Law School, ACLU, Ford Foundation, etc. It would cost a lot of money.

Probably ALIPAC's solution is better for now.

The ID will help me because it's a way to be in this country and get people to know who you are, especially for people who crossed the border and lost their papers,"
...is this the latest excuse of the "undocumented Americans"? Si Señor, I lost my papers when I crossed the border. May I have an American ID, perferably one from New Haven, por favor.

Sort of ironic isn't it, New Haven is the first place in the country to issue legal identification cards to illegals (excluding those that issue driver's licenses of course), and it's also the birthplace of George W. Bush.

I wonder what percentage of the citizenry are against issuing the card?
