November 30, 2009, 10:03AM

Antonio Lopez, 22, was arrested in Jersey City at 1:37 a.m. at Carteret and Arlington avenues after his car crashed into three parked vehicles and he tried to leave the scene of the smashup, police said.

Lopez was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and issued summonses for driving without a license, registration and proper insurance, police said.

He tried to drive away when cops arrived on the scene, police said.

Lopez, whose breath reeked of alcohol and slurred his words, confessed to cops he was in the country illegally, police said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was notified and Lopez will be turned over to that agency.

Lopez was treated at the Jersey City Medical Center for a cut on his left forehead.
