WASHINGTON -- The field of Democrats thinking about a White House run is apparently about to expand.

Several officials with knowledge of his plans say New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson intends to say Sunday that he is taking the first step toward the Democratic presidential nomination.

The former congressman, UN ambassador and Energy Department secretary is hoping his extensive resume will propel an effort to become the nation's first Hispanic president.

The officials say Richardson plans to announce Sunday that he will soon file the papers to create a presidential exploratory committee.

Now I really think this is going to be a big waste of somebody's money !! There's no way the American people will put him in the White House. Give us a break.
