    Mexico Immersion Program

Four Dallas ISD principals traveled to Cuernavaca, Mexico, during the first week of July to participate in an intensive Spanish language program and to live with Mexican host families.

Organized by the district’s Professional Development Department, the language program gave the principals an opportunity to attend Spanish classes from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, during which time their instructors spoke to them only in Spanish. The principals lived in the homes of Spanish-speaking host families, with whom they could practice their Spanish and learn more about Mexican culture and customs. That's insane! They need to require that kids speak English in school. The schools should not be responsible for teaching anchor babies how to speak our language.

This is why I would NEVER send my kids to Dallas ISD, Garland ISD, and several others in the Dallas County area with huge ESL programs.

That's why they'll be going to Plano ISD, where I haven't heard anything about Spanish/illegal pandering. (Unless it's hidden, or at least not as over the top as in the other districts).
