Note Warns Calif. Hispanics on Voting

Note warns Calif. Hispanics on voting 51 minutes ago

The state attorney general's office is investigating a letter received by some Southern California Hispanics that says it is a crime for immigrants to vote and tells them they could be jailed or deported if they go to the polls next month.

"It's a very malicious and degrading letter. It's to pull Latinos down and make them afraid," said Benny Diaz, who is running for City Council in Garden Grove. He said his wife and five other people he knows had received the letter.

The letter, written in Spanish, tells recipients: "You are advised that if your residence in this country is illegal or you are an immigrant, voting in a federal election is a crime that could result in jail time."

The truth is that immigrants who become naturalized citizens can legally register to vote.

Nathan Barankin, a spokesman for state Attorney General Bill Lockyer, said the letter was "something we are investigating aggressively right now." He said the sender could be charged with a felony and receive up to three years in state prison.

Several of the people who received the letters appeared to be naturalized citizens, said John Trasvina, interim president and general counsel for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund.

Why is it "malicious and degrading"? It's the TRUTH!

That's what these people cannot stand. Never let FACTS get in your way!

What should aggressively investigated is voter fraud.

I guess voter fraud is ok, but Lordy, don't let anyone say something that isn't politically correct or someone takes offense to!

You know what is wrong with PC? It's just used to shut up someone! Years ago, we all had common sense to NOT insult or make fun of someone....it was called rude behavior! And parents usually taught their kids right from wrong, and not be rude. Now the government tells one what is to be said!

Pretty soon, they will try to etch it in stone, along with the Ten Commandments, "Thou will be political correct." No, I'm wrong, they will destroy the 10 commandments before that!

I read an interesting article...Muslim taxi drivers are refusing to give rides to one's that have liquor in a bag, or they have turned down riders who are drunk, and need a ride!

All the while, they want us to obey their ways.....like in England, the Muslim schools have decided any non-Muslim going to their school has to wear the veil, their garb.....but they won't abide by the ways of their host Country!

I have had it with all of this.....too many are allowing their Countries to be taken over by people who are hellbent to change those countries!

One day they will wake up to a whole new Country and wonder what happened.
Do not vote for Party this year, vote for America and American workers!
