New York Gov Hochul asks Biden to help state address needs of roughly 100K asylum seekers in state

Hochul made request after NYC Mayor Adams asked her to use her executive power to get entire state to help in housing migrants.

New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul is asking President Biden to take executive action to address the problem of cities and states struggling to house asylum seekers.

Hochul made the request Thursday, shortly after New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams asked her to use her executive power to get the entire state to help in housing migrants, with tens-of-thousands in Manhattan.

Hochul, in her address, emphasized the need to integrate migrants into New York City through work and housing initiatives, acording to Fox News. She also asked the Biden administration to invest in settling the communities of asylum seekers.

"I'm fully aware that New Yorkers are concerned that over the past year, more than 100,000 asylum seekers have arrived in our state, requiring a historic humanitarian response," Hochul said. "Moments ago, I issued a letter to the Biden administration formally requesting that it take executive action to address New York's migrant crisis."

How can she call them asylum seekers with a straight face? All these people are supposed to be fleeing because they fear for their life? Why didn't we hear of all these murders before Biden opened the border, since all these people came from many different countries fearing for their life? Ridiculous. Call them what they are, illegal alien, economic migrants, not asylum seekers.
