    NFL counter-programs McCain (!)

    The NFL announced today that the 2008 season will kick-off on Thursday, Sep. 4th -- the same night McCain is set to accept the GOP nomination at the convention in the Twin Cities.

    Per ESPN, the game will start 90 minutes earlier because of the convention.

    But given that it pits the world champion New York Giants versus America's team, the Washingotn Redskins, Republicans can't be happy about what will inevitably distract attention from the penultimate night of their convention.

    I thought the Dallas Cowboys where America's team . Now i hate wrestling but put it on against the gop convention and guess what i will watch ?

    well i dont plan on watching the convention anyways cuz im sure i can watch the news the next day and thats all they will be talking about.

    and i am kinda glad that the game is starting at a decent time because 8 30 start on the east coast means it wont end till almost midnight.
