Brownsville CBP Officers Spend Weekend Seizing Nearly $1.2 Million in Cocaine, Marijuana

Brownsville, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers had another busy weekend at the Brownsville port of entry, seizing close to 28 pounds of cocaine and more than 75 pounds of marijuana; two women and one man were arrested in connection with these enforcement actions. The seized narcotics had a combined estimated street value of almost $1.2 million.

The first of two cocaine seizures occurred on January 16, at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge when a CBP officer referred a 2002 Chrysler Sebring driven a 24 year-old female Mexican citizen and resident of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico for a secondary inspection.
