MEXICO - In Mexico, whose government constantly requires the U.S. a worthy and just deal for the immigrants established in that country, exploites and mistreats foreigners that arrive at Mexico, affirmed executives of the National Commission of Human Rights.

"The migrants of other countries, mostly from Central America, suffer in Mexico an extensive number of abuses. In the land of indifference they suffer from extortion, aggression, rape and now the abduction of migrants and their recruitment by the networks of traffikers", alerted the national Ombudsman, José Luis Soberanes, in the session inaugurated by the president of the Counsel of Consultative Citizens of DIF, Margarita Zavala Gómez del Campo (Mexico's First Lady) and attended by the president of the Meeting of Political Coordination of the Senate Fabio Beltrones Rivera and the governor of Sinaloa, Jesus Aguilar Padilla.

In a press release, the president of the CNDH referred that this institution documented recently the case of 80 hard-working women of Chinese nationality, who labored daily for 17 hours in a textile factory in the state of Guanajuato. "They were imprisoned day and night in the workplace, fined for anything, without being able to leave only while being guarded by their captors and only two hours of rest each Sunday, deprived of their migratory documents by the owner of the factory; the workers lived in slavery with the complacency of the authorities of the factory and of Immigration, whose supervision visits only served to legitimize that situation of exploitation".

Constantly, the Mexican federal authorities have required its American counterparts the unrestricted respect of the rights of the Mexican immigrants in the United States, even when, according to the human rights leader, in Mexico immigrants from Central America and other nations are mistreated.
