NINE suspected illegal immigrants have been arrested in Wootton Bassett. (England)

The Wootton Bassett Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by other police officers and a team of immigration officers, executed a search warrant at a detached house in the town.

The warrant was issued due to intelligence gathered over a number of months and saw eight men and one woman arrested.

A firearm was also discovered and seized by officers who spent several hours at the address carrying out detailed searches.

WPC Hayley Tarling, Community Beat Manager for the Wootton Bassett Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "This was a great example of members of the community working together and sharing information. We have been investigating the activities at these premises for some time and are pleased with the positive outcome of this operation."

Wootton Bassett Sector Inspector Mark Levitt added: "The joint operation was a great success and has also resulted in another illegal firearm being taken off the streets of Wiltshire."

Two of the nine people arrested were released pending further investigations, but the remainder are undergoing deportation proceedings with the immigration authorities.

Yep, I understand New Zealand is cracking down too.

Funny, the U.N. issued a scathing "report" about racist American immigration law enforcement efforts and even targeted state legislators that are doing something abou it.....apparently all done at the hands and with cooperation of the ACLU and 120 other "immigrant advocacy groups:" in the United States, the report doesn't list the 120 groups....

I wonder if the U.N. will issue the same type of silly report regarding Australian efforst to enact laws and policies to deal with illegal immigation, same with the U.K. and even Sweden.

The U.N. has lost their relevance.
