Sing Jun Jang, a reputed member of the Fuk Ching gang, is wanted for the alleged murder of four fellow gang members in a May 24, 1993 shootout in Teaneck.
The fierce gunbattle spilled onto the quiet streets of the West Englewood neighborhood. Four members died in or after the bloody assault, and a fifth was critically wounded.
Two of the Teaneck shooting victims were bound and gagged before being shot execution-style at point-blank range in a basement, authorities said.
The Teaneck house had been rented for two months by gang members and used as a safe house to aid in alleged criminal activities. The gang was involved in illegal immigration to the United States, extortion, prostitution, and murder, investigators said.
Authorities said the shootout was sparked by a bloody internal feud sparked by the deaths of two gang members a few months before the killings.
A Grand Jury indicted Jang, and six other members of the Asian gang on murder and kidnapping charges in June 1994 after a 10-month investigation that led investigators from Teaneck to the streets of Chinatown in New York City.
