Drunken driving, warrant arrests included in Bridgeton police blotter

BRIDGETON

* Brandyn S. Conyers, 32, of Millville, was arrested Sunday evening on the 300 block of South Pine Street on the charges of contempt, harassment and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She was lodged in Cumberland County Jail on $15,000 bail.

Conyers is accused of violating a no-contact court order involving a 24-year-old South Pine Street resident.

Police recovered a souvenir baseball bat in connection with the incident.

Sonya K. Conyers-Mason, 52, of Fairfield Township, was charged with obstruction of justice in connection with the incident, accused of impeding police efforts to recover the miniature baseball bat. She was released on her own recognizance.

* Demetrius R. Glanville, 24, of West Lincoln Street, was arrested Sunday evening on a failure to appear warrant and released after he posted $162 bail.

* William M. Bard, 33, of North Laurel Street, was arrested Sunday afternoon on a failure to appear warrant and a child support warrant. He was lodged in the county jail on $27,474.60 bail.

* Hakeem T. Denby, 19, of Seabrook, was arrested Sunday evening at Bridgeton Villas on the charges of criminal mischief and harassment. He was released on his own recognizance.

The charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute.

* Felipe Garcia-Vazquez, 22, of Ewing Street, was arrested early Sunday on the charge of criminal trespass after police found him in his neighbors' home. He was lodged in the county jail on $10,000 bail.

* Amber M. Connelly, 23, of Egret Street, was arrested early Sunday on the charge of aggravated assault, accused of punching in the eye her boyfriend's mother during an altercation on Penn Street.

The victim's eye was swollen shut as a result of the assault, which reportedly also included Connelly's sister, who has not been charged, police said Monday.

Connelly was released on her own recognizance.

* Lamus L. Rhett, 30, of Fayette Street, was arrested early Sunday on four child support warrants and two failure to appear warrants. He also was charged with eluding police in a motor vehicle and unlawfully possession prescription drugs.

Rhett reportedly was in possession of 16 Endocet pills.

The pursuit began at Henry and Spruce streets shortly before midnight, police said. It ended in the driveway of a home on the 200 block of Baltimore Avenue.

Rhett was lodged in the county jail on $56,641.76 bail.

* Fidelio Sargento, 52, of Giles Street, was arrested Saturday night at his home on the charge of driving while intoxicated following a two-car accident on Broad Street, at the Riggins gas station.

Sargento also was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving while suspended, and was served a failure to appear warrant.

A suspected illegal immigrant, Sargento was lodged in the county jail without bail on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

* Eric K. Dawkins, 24, of Fayette Street, was arrested Saturday evening on a failure to appear warrant. Also charged with resisting arrest, he was released after posting $600 bail.

* Luis O. Pou, 30, of Cohansey Street, was arrested Saturday on Elmer Street on the charges of harassment and terroristic threats. He was lodged in the county jail on $5,000 bail.

The charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute.

* Donald O. Pierce, 45, of Burlington Manor, was arrested Saturday afternoon at his home on the charges of simple assault and contempt.

The charges stem from an alleged incident of domestic violence.

Also was served a failure to appear warrant, Pierce was lodged in the county jail in lieu of $6,000 bail.

* Tianna A. Winchester, 22, of Millville, was released from the justice building on Saturday after posting the required amount of $3,030 bail on two failure to appear warrants.

* Lucretia D. Hall, 44, of South Avenue, and Mark DeSantis, 49, of Vineland, were arrested early Saturday at the Broad Street Days Inn on the charge of disorderly conduct.

Hall and DeSantis allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with each other prior to police arriving at the motel, then yelled at one another in front of police.

Hall and DeSantis were released on their own recognizance.

* Mario Velasquez-Barrios, 22, of Cohansey Street, was arrested Friday night on North Pearl Street on the charge of driving while intoxicated.

He also was cited for driving while unlicensed, failing to keep right and possessing an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

A suspected illegal immigrant, Velasquez-Barrios was lodged in the county jail without bail on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

* Crystal S. Hadden, 24, of Jersey City, was arrested Friday night on a failure to appear warrant and released after she posted $100 bail.

* Maria Barrera, 36, of North Laurel Street, was arrested Friday afternoon at the Broad Street Rite Aid on the charge of shoplifting, accused of attempting to steal a tube of toothpaste and a bottle of cologne from the drug store. She was released on her own recognizance.
