DE QUEEN MAN ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 8/22/07
A De Queen man was arrested Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance and criminal impersonation.

According to the De Queen Police Department, Officer Gary Cunningham stopped a blue Dodge Dakota for speeding on Crosstrails road. The driver identified himself as Jorge Salines and advised that he did not have a driver’s license. Cunningham spoke with the manager of the Pruitt’s trailer park and the manager said the driver was registered at the trailer park as Valente Hernandez.

Sgt. Scott Simmons of the De Queen Police Department arrived to assist with an inventory of the vehicle and a small clear plastic bag was found between the seats that contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The driver was transported to the Sevier County Jail where he was identified through the District Court records as being Valente Hernandez of De Queen. Hernandez was charged with possession of a controlled substance marijuana, criminal impersonation #2, Driving without a license #5, and speeding.
