    Mexicans living abroad will not be required to serve in the Mexican armed forces. They will only be required to register at the age of 18, either in Mexico or at its consulates or embassies.
    Uh Oh, according to US law, dual citizen males between the ages of 18-26 MUST register for the draft in the US. Not doing so is a deportable offense.

    Who's "jurisdiction" prevails here, hmmm?

    The Mexican Dual Citizenship program was passed in 1996 under the initiative of President Ernesto Zedillo. I believe it was he, not current Mexican President Calderon, who first stated in a public speech that "Wherever there is a Mexican, there is also Mexico", or words to that effect. Doesn't Zedillo now head a special studies program at Yale?
