Travelers Advised of Dangers and Penalties Associated with 'Port Running'
(Wednesday, September 10, 2008)
Tucson, Ariz. - As part of an effort to raise awareness of increased border security and operations at ports of entry, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is advising travelers of the dangers and penalties of attempting to evade or bypass inspection at the ports of entry.
Keeping terrorists from entering the country, preventing illegal entry, intercepting dangerous drugs and other contraband, and apprehending fugitives are all part of what Field Operations (part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection) does every day at the ports of entry, and smugglers and others trying to bypass inspection sometimes try to force their way past officers or refuse to comply with instructions and “run the port.â€NO AMNESTY
Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
