The Merida Plan is wrong. It focuses on helping Mexico deal with their problem, when we need to be dealing with the problem Mexico causes us.

We need to leave our guns alone, it's a guaranteed 2nd Amendment right under the "hello" ... US Constitution.

If these cartels don't get the weapons from US, they'll get them somewhere else, you know like those "hello" rocket-launchers and anti-tank devices the author writes about.

We need get our troops with our tanks and rocket-launchers and AK-47s on the Border and stop the invasion.

We need to legalize, regulate and tax the drug trade, confine the drug trade to decent American growers, manufacturers and licensed sellers.

We need to get all these illegal alien out of here, because with no illegal aliens in our country, the cartels will be severely limited in their activities, they will be shut-down as to their customer base, there will be no money for them to seek because there won't be any drug business for them to have because Americans will have both their customers and the business.

Wake Up! This Merida Plan is the dumbest most deceptive bunch of bull yet.

And as for this statement from the article:

"Most illegal immigrants may well be fine, hard-working people who merely want to provide for their rapidly expanding families here and back home. Nevertheless, too many others are here for the wrong reasons — to engage in drug trafficking and other criminal activities that endanger the lives of law-abiding citizens."

Now get this and get this right. Any person who wants to come to the US outside of our laws is not fine nor hard-working. They are sneaky, illegal aliens, working less for more than they were willing to work back home, and the last thing the American People want to do or should do is providing for "their rapidly expanding families here and back home", because we shouldn't be providing for any "rapidly expanding family" here or anywhere else. We should be handing out birth control pills and every other contraception available and encourage family planning, period.

This planet including our country already has more people that any nation on this planet or all of them combined can sustain successfully, so wake up, get your common sense hats on, put on your pragmatic boots on, pull your heads out of the clouds, depart La La Land and enter Reality.

Get serious, get focused, get active, and help US stop illegal immigration by doing everything possible to stop the flow, enforce existing US immigration law, crack down on employers, deport illegal aliens with their families intact, and stop the foreign illegal drug trade fueling illegal immigration by legalizing illegal drugs so we have a legal dometic drug trade controlled by .... decent Americans instead of illegal foreign drug cartels sucking us dry as bone, killing our citizens and police officers, and controlling every government we have.
