Las Vegas
Student and local organizations are responding to the English-only ordinance approved in Pahrump two weeks ago.

The ordinance makes English the official language of that Nevadan city.

Participants will be taping their mouths shut to demonstrate the silencing of thousands of people who are affected by the law.

The English-Only Ordinance silent protest is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29th at 5:30pm on campus at UNLV in the Alumni Ampitheater next to Pida Plaza. All students and members of the community are invited.
