Gov. Eliot L. Spitzer’s plans to issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens will complicate the compromise proposal to use new enhanced driver’s licenses for border crossings instead of passports, Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds, R-Clarence, charged Saturday.
Reynolds also said the governor’s plans will cause the state to become a haven for those in the country illegally.
