    Call Off the Immigrant Hunt

THERE are myriad claims to Barack Obama’s attention, and the list will only grow before Jan. 20. But immigration reform and, more immediately, putting an end to the outgoing administration’s unfortunate and inhuman immigration enforcement policy should be high on the president-elect’s list.

Mr. Obama can learn from his predecessor. President Bush wanted comprehensive immigration reform in 2001, but 9/11 got in the way. He started over in 2004, but did little given the imperatives of re-election. He pushed it gently in 2006 and failed, and then went all out in 2007 but failed again.

Immigration reform is the sort of complex and costly project that, as a rule, presidents accomplish only at the peak of their power — when their term begins. If Mr. Obama decides to postpone immigration reform until later, he runs the risk of no longer possessing the leverage to convince his party’s legislators to brave the furies of the extreme right wing.

But even without comprehensive reform, Mr. Obama can make a huge difference in the lives of millions of undocumented migrants in the United States today. Since late 2006, the Bush administration has been carrying out the “tough loveâ€

A rant from another anti America gringo hating reconquista who doesn't care about our laws, borders, sovereignty or the right of the American people to determine who should be afforded the fruits of citizenship. Unfortunately LaRaza, Obama and the Congress share his sentiments as they don't give a damn about the American people either. They believe identity thieves, murderers, rapists, child molesters and other illegal alien criminals should be rewarded with citizenship and unfettered access to the treasury at taxpayer expense. They also believe struggling Americans should be held morally and fiscally responsible for those who made a conscious and deliberate decision to violate our borders, laws, sovereignty, use stolen identities and have children at taxpayer expense while illegally here. This is yet another reason why this pile of horse dung called a paper along with many others is going down the crapper. The NYT is good only for lining the bottom of my cat's litter box...........

It doesn't look like the NYT will allow us to comment on this weak opinion. Anyway, look at the writer's bio, and we can once again clearly see the agenda of the Mexican govt:

BUT WHY SHOULD OBAMA GIVE AMNESTY TO ILLEGAL ALEINS? They broke the law getting here and they had the audicity to stay regardless of whether or not they broke they law, and they even came back after being deported. Sometimes they came back several times. Why should Americans be subjected to such illegal behavior? Why should Americans have to support benefits and projects such as "day labor centers" for a bunch of foreign people that are here against the law? What is it that Mr. JORGE G. CASTAÑEDA doesnt get? Maybe this writer doesnt understand that America has immigration laws.

The usual lie from the open border, anti-American worker lobby. Americans of all backgrounds widely favor immigration enforcement over legalization amnesty schemes, as evidenced by the recent Rasmussen polling.

Mothers and fathers are being forcibly separated from their children — husbands from wives, brothers from sisters
Except for the ones they left at home and send their remittances to.

But even without comprehensive reform, Mr. Obama can make a huge difference in the lives of millions of undocumented migrants in the United States today.
And by rejecting this nonsense, Obama can make a difference in the lives of millions of American citizens who are being forced out of their jobs by cheap labor, especially in the African-American community. BTW, not sure of the figures but I seem to remember that over 90% of blacks voted for Obama. I guess they come first on the "you owe me" list.

Just by printing this the NY Times shows they don't give a damn about Americans, to them we are all just "World Citizens".

I think Americans are willing to make a deal.

If IA's stop invading the U.S.A "We The People" will stop demanding their arrest and deportation.

There is NO OTHER OPTION>>>NADA NONE !!!
