Yes you really have to watch these slimy politicians, there are different lines for foreigners, one is outside the USA at US Embassies which is where legal immigrants apply for entry, then there is the citizenship line inside the USA. Of course our corrupted politicians want to allow those that break the law to jump ahead of those that obey the law!!

Lawmakers will gather at the White House next week for a working session on immigration reform, a meeting that has been highly anticipated by Latino leaders eager for President Obama to honor his campaign promise to put millions of undocumented workers on a "pathway to citizenship." But many Democrats are now concluding that they may well not have the muscle to pass such a controversial measure -- at least not immediately, and possibly not until after the 2010 midterm election.

To me that doesn't sound bad as long as they have to return to their home country and wait to come back the right legal way. But Obama never means or does what he said anyway and this will probably be a backdoor amnesty!
Oh 93, don't fall for that one. It's a touch back plan. It's the go across the border and pick up a guest worker visa then come back. I think it was the Pence Hutchinson concoction from two years ago.

I thought the touchback plan only called for them to return to a consulate and fill out papers. Mexico has several consulates in all of our states. That means they dont even have to leave America.

If, like in the last two failed amnesty attempts, the illegals aren't given a deadline by which to return to their home countries and THEN re-apply for temporary residency after passing background, criminal, and medical checks...then this is simply an AMNESTY which gives, immediate legal status via temporary residency to all illegals currently in this country....there is no requirement that they EVER become citizens....illegals would then immediately become legally eligible for every type of social welfare, medicaid, educational benefits, public aid available in this country - a windfall for the illegals plus job protection for the jobs they stole from citizens as well. How many states can afford to add milions of illegals and their families to their welfare, public health care and social services rolls?

I remember that, they would get the "guest worker Gold Card" that lets them stay forever!
