White House: Bin Laden Video Would Underscore Threat
CAIRO, Egypt - The White House says any new video message from Osama bin Laden will only underscore the threat the United States and other nations face from extremists.

Al-Qaida's media arm says the terror mastermind will issue the video in the coming days ahead of the sixth anniversary of 9/11.

Bin Laden's has not appeared in new video footage since October 2004, and he has not put out a new audiotape in more than a year.

One difference in bin Laden's appearance is obvious. The announcement about the video had a still photo from it, showing bin Laden with a fully black beard. In his past videos, bin Laden's beard was almost entirely gray with dark streaks.

The Department of Homeland Security says there's "no credible information at this time" of an imminent terrorist threat.

Actually, I think his beard is covered with camel dung.

Just my opinion but isn't it just another way to shift our attention from putting pressure on Congress etc. by starting the FEAR thing again..if we are all afraid they think we will all quickly say yes to whatever Mr. Bush and Cheny propose to save us from the deadly terrorists. There are more deadly snakes like NAU SPP southern borders etc. We are always being put in our places by FEAR!!!!

Yes working4change, FEAR was also used in Germany during the 1930's to control the population and draw their attention away from what was happening.
