Gov. Wants National Guard to Stay on the Border

Governor Janet Napolitano says despite the Border Patrol insisting they don't need them, she wants the National Guard to stay put on the Arizona-Mexico border.
"I look at results and I look at numbers. Since Operation Jump Start began we have seen a diminution of numbers at the border of people attempting to cross illegally," she says. "Premature
Napolitano says it's more important than ever they stay there, since the virtual fence is a flop and "the failure of the Border Patrol to hire at the rate they predicted they'd be able to hire in terms of net new agents on the staff - premature termination of Operation Jump Start I think is unwise."
Since Operation Jump Start begun, the number of people trying to cross the border illegally has gone down dramatically.
