ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Two feuding leaders of an organization that monitors illegal crossings along the U.S.-Mexican border have broken their ranks in citizen patrols.

Leaders of the groups accused one another Friday of being aggressive and extreme in their desire to stop illegal immigration.

Clifford Alford, leader of a group called the New Mexico Minutemen, says that members of the Minuteman Project – a group that drew international attention in April when volunteers showed up in Arizona to patrol the border – like to run around in paramilitary uniforms and carry assault weapons.

"They really don't give a rip about anyone's civil rights," Mr. Alford said.

Mike Gaddy, who is leading the Minuteman Project in New Mexico, said Mr. Alford wasn't part of the group's monitoring project.

"He is part of a renegade organization that has absolutely nothing to do with the Minutemen," Mr. Gaddy said.

It is just camos. Whats the big deal. I almost feel like "vigilante" was about to escape his lips! Who is this Guy? Possible Plant?

That was MY first thought as well! As to the clothing the Minutemen Project members choose to wear while protecting our borders: WHO CARES?

Military camo makes perfect sense in this desert type enviroment. The whole idea is to spot the illegal invaders before they spot you (duh)! What would this fool expect them to wear....suits and ties, or perhaps neon colored over-alls?

    PLUUEEZE!
