I agree it does set a dangerous presidence.
It was a suit for Summary Judgment with a Judge, not jury trial. Very inexpensive lawsuit. All they had to do was learn the law, read ALIPAC, call Sheriff Joe in Arizona who knows the federal law that protected them, PM me, contact Chris Kobach in KC, or any number of the other thousands upon thousands of people who know about USC 8, Chapter 12, Subchapter 11, Part VIII Section 1324, show it to the Judge, so the Judge can say "case dismissed" and charge the frivolous treasonous attorney who filed the lawsuit legal expense incurred by the county defending itself.

Ditto Judy! It sounds as if Butler Co. made the offer before the judge even ruled on the motion for summary judgement, which is even more outrageous if in fact correct!

Right! That's what they did according to the article. They settled it before they went to the hearing on the Motion for Summary Judgment which is just a hearing before the Judge on the legal merits of the case.

one part of the complaint says Rodriguez seeks to remain in the US to avoid religions persecution, drug violence, and poor schools and health care in mexico and that his mexico home has squatters in it and he wold have no place to live

    27. Seems Rodriguez produced a resident alien card and a social security card which he admitted both were bought from someone
    28. BUT he supposedly had a valid driver license and ITIN taxpayer card and was using them instead
