Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo is coming next week to Oklahoma for two fundraisers, his campaign office confirmed Monday.
Tancredo, a Colorado congressman, is to appear at fundraisers Sept. 8 in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, said Alan Moore, a campaign spokesman. Tancredo is scheduled to be in Oklahoma City that morning and then will go to Tulsa that evening.

The Saturday morning fundraiser is from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Oklahoma Training Center, 520 W Main. Cost is $50 per person.

The Tulsa event is from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at the Tulsa Technology Center Alliance Building, 801 W 91st. Cost is $150 a person or $250 per couple.

Tancredo also is planning to attend a Sept. 7 birthday celebration for Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman Gary Jones and Cheryl Williams, the party's vice chairman.

The event is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the home of James and Regina Dunn near Luther. Cost is $25 a person. A private reception with Tancredo starts at 6 p.m.; it includes a photo with the candidate. The cost is $100 per person.

Those interested in attending the GOP party celebration may call state party headquarters at 528-3501.
