Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Robert E. Casey, Jr., Dallas Division of the FBI praised the cooperation exhibited by law enforcement agencies who are members of the North Texas High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA). "The combined effort of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in North Texas demonstrates a commitment to the thorough investigation and prosecution of those who traffic in dangerous narcotics. The FBI is committed to attacking any criminal activity that poses severe threats to the community of the magnitude seen in these charges."

If convicted, many of the defendants face a maximum sentence of life in prison. It is important to note that an indictment is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of either guilt or innocence.
