Opposes immigration amnesty bill

From V.G. and Mildred Hansen

Mountain Home:

This letter was sent to: President George W. Bush; Sen. Mark Pryor; Sen. Blanche Lincoln; Rep. Marion Berry.

We are totally opposed to the McCain-Kennedy Bill being pushed through Congress re illegal aliens and amnesty proposals!

Will you please advise us how we can have a Department of Homeland Security if we don't enforce our immigration laws? At the same time, however, we do engage in wars on a global basis without restraint but cannot secure our own borders against undesirable and potential terrorist individuals.

People entering our country illegally are committing a felony. Being a nation of laws (and laws should be enforced equally), why are we giving amnesty to one group and not others? Perhaps you should legally give amnesty to real American citizens also who have been convicted of a felony. A felony is a felony.

There are tens of thousands of illegal aliens already ordered deported on their own recognizance and they are still here; and our government does not have the foggiest idea where they are hiding in full sight.

The argument for unrestricted and unlimited immigration escapes our comprehension completely. Please enlighten us as to why this is a rational approach but please not with a form letter from File 13, which does not reflect what we have a right to know. Our support for your total agenda hangs in the balance.
