Oregon Media Bias - Pro Illegal www.Statesmanjournal.com

Please look up the article; Oregon Migrant Remittances....in this section.

First the article re-published by the oregonian - was written by a latino

    ,: Gabricla Rosa-on November 12/05- -

This completely pro illegal article was edited with the latino journalist's name hiddenby the oregonian.

( if you have a problem with subtle bias contact davidsarasohn@news.oregonian.com

the plot thickens; The Statesman Journal- in salem oregon - adjacent to one of the largest latino-Oaxaca region mexican settlements in Woodburn - is having a year long series of Diversity articles- all pro illegal immigration. To see how pro-illegal immigration this newspaper is you must look up the site. the Graphics and by-lines are incredibly slanted.
check out this oct 23 article( written by Alex Davis 503-589-6941) about the Oregon law center-:::::

    http://__:http://news.statesmanjourn...le.cfm?i=50401
began by Valentin Sanchez- to provide free legal help to illegals
The Oregon Law center is located at 230 west hayes, woodburn oregon ,97071 1800-973-9003 or 503-981-0336

supporting the efforts of the oregon law center were these government parties:

    State Senator Peter Courtney-
    Oregon state Bar Association
    OFFICE of the Governor
Legal Aid Services ( which is right next door)
    Oregon Supreme Court[/b]

    Valentin Sanchez
is the founder of OCIMO or Oregon communites of Indigneous Migrants of Oaxaca

you may send an email letter to the editor by going to the Statesman site.
.A balanced picture is not being provided by The oregon media establishment.
let me say I have no problem with pro bono work by attorneys- but if you are poor in Oregon - the focus in now on helping Latinos and illegals not the legal poor in this state[/b]-

    Oregonians for Immigration Reform www.oregonir.org
this is the group that is bringing the issue to the forefront in oregon.
It seems to me ,in my short research that the illegal population has many very focused activists among them- they get the backing of the media- and many times the government.
so the more legal oregonians that can get informed and involved the better-

therefore I will keep this thread bumped for a while at least -

In my research of our Comrade from NewComm I noticed alot of "social justice" and other "progressive" groups from Oregon and Washington. Maybe it has something to do with the salt air from the Pacific.
