Repair the DHS Budget, PLEASE!

Too difficult for the governor to see (or acknowledge) is a very simple and easy fix for the current budget.

If the Governor would simply remove Oregon from the "Amnesty State" designation for illegal aliens, a good amount of the problem would disappear. And if the Governor would order DHS and the other 15 State of Oregon Agencies to quit assisting the Mexican Consulate in it's monthly tours to all parts of the states to sign up ILLEGAL ALIENS for all available benefits, the rest of the problem would be solved.

Most Oregonians are unaware of the enormous cost to the state these actions have incurred. Besides the cost to taxpayers for each new family added to the food stamp, rent subsidy, medical, educational , etc. systems, the cost of sending State employees all over the state to explain and sign up new "clients" on Saturdays is not insignificant.

Please note that this particular effort of the Governor is on behalf of people who have entered our country ILLEGALLY and cannot become citizens. Yet, one of the State agencies regularly at the Consulate programs is the Secretary of State who included information on voting! All the state services are and should be available to every LEGAL immigrant .

Chances are that the amount of money used on these ILLEGALS far exceeds the $170 million shortfall. Too bad we can't get an accounting!
