    oh, h....ll NO!

What this article doesn't say is that Mexico only mandates education up to sixth grade. After that, Mexican nationals are on their own. The average educational level of Mexicans is no more than 6th grade or less. Low-level education is state sanctioned in Mexico. It is a cultural thing, the government doesn't value education (even though they claim to do so...) and neither does the populace for the most part. That is what we are importing to this country. Even second and third generation Mexicans still have the highest drop-out rate from high school and very, very few go to four-year universities.

Utah has brought in 80 teachers from Mexico stating it is because of our shortage. We would not have a shortage if all the illegal children were not here and not paying for schooling.

With all the money Mexico is investing into various facilities and projects in the U.S. (which they should be investing at home) they can have but one thing in mind. Then south of the border the Roman Catholics are aiding and abetting... Stop 501c3 status for sanctuary churches!

They want the Mexican nationals living in the U.S. better educated so that they can make more money to send back to Mexico.

Who's paying for this? Is it considered a Public School? I think I want a Mexican Diploma? What would they do if all of us English First students showed up at their classes?

Consular officials said the Spanish-language classes improve immigrants' self-esteem and enable them to help their children with schoolwork.

How is getting a Mexican GED going to enable them to help their children with schoolwork? They probably still can't/won't speak English, and learning to read in Spanish won't make them suddenly able to understand homework that should be done in English.
This article siad they are taught "mostly" by volunteers. So which country is paying the non-volunteers? And who is paying to keep the schools open additional hours? Well, at least that proves that kids in CA are so well educated that they don't need additional money spent on them and they don't need more paid teachers. Or do the students need more funds and CA is choosing to spend money on adults education instead? Americans are only entitled to a free education until they are a certain age, and if they choose to get a GED after that, they pay for it. Why would CA taxpayers have to pay for not only adults to get a free GED, but illegal adults, and not in English, but in Spanish? Mexico should be paying 100% of the cost, not just buying (probably outdated) books.

Hey, folks - - - it's not just in California. Educating the illegal kids is all pervasive. Look at this article from AZ:

    Immigration Fallout Seen In Schools
Illegal Immigrants Fear Sending Kids To Class
    POSTED: 9:49 am MST January 11, 2008
    UPDATED: 1:42 pm MST January 11, 2008

PHOENIX -- An increasing number of illegal immigrants say they are afraid of sending their children to school for fear of being deported.
"It has created a hysteria across the Valley," said Noe Carrasco, a parent.
"What's happening is parents are very afraid," said Silvia Yamasaki, another parent. "The parents are scared they don't want to go out, they don't want to go to work. You don't know what's going to happen."
Yamasaki said the word has spread that children and their families will be detained by police officers or immigration officers and the parents are keeping their children home.

The concern has translated into a significant drop in attendance, especially in one west Phoenix school district.
"From last year to this year, we're down 500 kids," said Abedon Fimbres of the Isaac School District. "We have children who are citizens of the United States who are not receiving an education which they are entitled to under federal law and state law," Fimbres said.
A meeting was held Thursday night to address parental fears.
The district told parents the 400 children who attend their schools will be safe and have a right to an education.

They are "anchor babies" and people need to start actually reading the 14th Amendment and realizing that the illegal parents will keep those babies from growing up with a respect for the law and living under the law - because that is the parents example.
