Overwhelming Majority Of Americans Support Arizona's New Law

Overwhelming Majority Of Americans Support Arizona's New Anti-Illegal Immigration Law

President Barack Obama scratched his head. Congress shook its collective cranium. The media, always chastising the American public as to its 'racist' treatment of illegal aliens living and working inside America-shuddered under the latest Washington-based PEW report: 73 percent of Americans support Arizona's anti-illegal alien bill-SB 1070.

The bill mirrors federal laws and allows law enforcement in Arizona to arrest, detain and turn over to Immigration, Customs and Enforcement officers the estimated 460,000 illegal aliens living in Arizona. An illegal must be caught for a lawless infraction before he or she can be pulled over. Additionally, the law pursues employers with strong consequences of fines and jail time.

As pro-illegal alien supporters march in the street demanding amnesty-more and more Americans react in opposition. Americans want their borders secured.

For 30 years, five presidents and every U.S. Congress in session failed to enforce laws on the books. As a result, 20 million illegal aliens wander around the United States with forged, stolen or phony IDs and Social Security cards. They work, live and operate in the shadows. They remain outside the American mainstream.

But, they tap into $346 billion annually in American taxpayer benefits across 15 federal agencies: 'free' education for their children K-12, 'free' breakfast and lunch programs K-12, 'free' English as a second language instruction, 'free' prenatal care and birth costs for over 400,000 pregnant illegal alien mothers annually, 'free' assisted housing, 'free' food and housing for over 350,000 illegal criminal aliens residing in U.S. prisons.

While the media waxes emotionally about all of the illegals coming to America for a "better life", the American people grow angrier as 20 million of them arrived ILLEGALLY. They jumped the line in front of millions that wait legally to attempt to immigrate into America legally. The illegals break the mores of this society's foundation: the rule of law.

"Strikingly, nearly half of the democrats polled liked the law, under which local law enforcement officers are tasked with verifying peoples' immigration status if they suspect them of being in the country illegally," said Margaret Talev, reporter for McClatchy newspapers. "While the Democratic Party is regarded as more sympathetic to the plight of illegal immigrants, 49 percent said they would favor the law's passage in their own states."

That study shows the resentment sweeping across the nation as illegals usurp jobs, overwhelm schools, bankrupt hospitals and degrade wages for America's middle class and minorities that summer the most.

"In addition," said Talev, "69 percent of Americans said they wouldn't mind if police officers stopped them to ask for proof of citizenship or legal right to be in the country."

The poll results show that Congress will not be able to pass an amnesty without a growing uproar over legalizing those that arrived illegally. It violates Americans' basic understanding of the rule of law. The biggest organization in the nation to stop massive illegal and legal immigration, www.NumbersUSA.com with Roy Beck, enjoys over 1.0 million members and some days, they add 7,000 to 9,000 members as the issue heats up in Congress. During the June 2007 amnesty attempt, Beck's members melted the phone lines with over 1.5 million phone calls and over 2.0 million faxes within five days. The bill suffered defeat.

Another aspect of the illegal alien migration question: Tea Party phenomenon. Angry voters expect to vote out incumbents because they tire of 'career' politicians that do nothing year after year, decade after decade, i.e., U.S. Senators Chuck Schumer, Robert Byrd, John McCain, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Jon Kyle, Arlen Specter, Carl Levin-all of them ineffective, out of touch with the American people and dead wood.

After decades of abuse, non-compliance and disregard of border security-Americans expect to show their voting power in November by throwing the rascals out.

Be aware of pockets like some teachers. Friend told me today that high school teacher was telling the class her daughter was in that this was racial profiling and it was a bad law.

Well, that teacher will certainly be proved the liar won't he/she? What do public schools do with school teachers who lie to students? I know what I'd do with them.

Has that teacher also taught her students about our immigration laws, our sovereignty and the effects of anarchy? Did she mention the problems the people of Arizona have faced that led to this law?

Or did she only comment on her opinion of the Arizona law because of a personal ideological position that supports open borders?
