Missouri bill on deported immigrants gets initial approval

Missouri bill on deported immigrants gets initial approval

    By - Associated Press - Tuesday, March 7, 2017

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri senators have given initial approval to a bill that would crack down on some immigrants living in the country illegally.
Senators voted 26-3 Tuesday in favor of the bill. It needs another vote of approval to move to the House.

If it passes the Legislature and becomes law, deported immigrants who come back and commit assaults and dangerous felony offenses would face three to 10 years in prison.
Republican Sen. Mike Cunningham says his goal is to crack down on criminals. He says workers who overstay and people who come to visit family are not the intended targets.

Democratic Sen. Jill Schupp raised concerns that what she described as “anti-immigrant” policies could spur fear and deter immigrants from coming to Missouri and contributing to the economy.

Foolish Democrat. Illegals contribute to the underground economy, not the one that pays the taxes that pay her salary.

LOL!! That made me laugh, "Foolish Democrat."

Absolutely, just another silly Dem who either doesn't get it or refuses to admit to the problem. Either way, it's shameful to recite that same ole "immigrants contribute" talking point. These people are not immigrants, just like slaves weren't immigrants, illegal aliens are criminals until they're deported and slaves were slaves until they were freed.

Would someone please explain the difference between an 'immigrant' and an 'illegal immigrant' to the knot-headed Democrats!

Of course they know the difference, they just like using obfuscation to confuse the issue.

The bill is @ punishment for return deportees that have committed dangerous felonies - she should be ridiculed in the press and by her constituents. She clearly is anti-American and does not want to protect our citizens from criminal foreign invaders. No American Senator should be allowed to act this way - make her step down.
