Illegal immigrant charged after stop

MOUNT LAUREL - An illegal immigrant living in Cherry Hill was charged with possession of forged documents Thursday during a motor-vehicle stop.

Marcelino Sanchez, 49, of Park Boulevard, was stopped at 5 p.m. for an unspecified motor-vehicle violation on Route 38, police said. Sanchez was sent to Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly on an immigration detainer issued by federal authorities. His nationality was not provided.
